How the Meadow Score works

The Meadow Score is a weighted average of published star ratings. Newer reviews count more: a review loses half its weight every 365 days. Reviews from verified customers count 1.5 times. To keep a few reviews from swinging the result, the score starts from the typical rating in the category as if it had 5 reviews, and it is shown once a business has 3 reviews. Reviews where the writer received something in return are left out or count less. Businesses cannot pay to change it.
